Does this Easter Mesh Wreath look difficult to make? It’s really not, this is an easy tutorial!
I’m going to show you step by step how to make this beautiful wreath in no time!
Also, I may add that it was the cheapest wreath I have ever made. All materials were bought at the dollar store and cost less than $10 bucks! The costs associated with wreath making can really start to add up, so it was great to be able to make this one at such a low cost.
Ok, let’s talk about materials…here is what you will need.
List of Supplies Needed for Easter Mesh Wreath
- Floral Garden Metal Wreath Forms, 14.25 in.
- Easter 6-in. Decorative Mesh Ribbon, 5-yd. Rolls (the colors I picked were green, yellow and white.
- Floral Garden Metal Wreath Forms, 14.25 in.
- Speckled Easter Eggs in Assorted Colors, 6-ct. Carton – 2 packages
- Happy Easter 3D Tinsel Bunny, 5.5×4.25×2.25 in.
- 2 packages of Pipe Cleaners (I bought with the white ones, which can be found at the dollar store or any craft store).
- Scissors
Step 1: Cut the Mesh to Make Strips
- What I would recommend for this step is to stretch out a large section of mesh and lay each of the color mesh rolls on top of each other. The mesh will curl back on you, so hold the roll down with something to keep it from moving.
- Next, cut out 1” to 2” inch strips. I would cut about 5 batches at a time, put my bundles together and repeat this step, but you can cut as many strips as you like.
Step 2: Making Your Mesh Bundles
- Take your first strip of mesh and roll it up, then the second, and finally the third and hold them together like this:
- Grab one pipe cleaner and wrap it around the mesh strips.
- Twist the pipe cleaner and you will get a bunch that looks like this:
Step 3: Attaching Your Mesh to the Wreath Form
- Take one bunch and wrap the pipe cleaner around the two middle rings in the wreath.
- Repeat this process until you feel that your wreath is full enough. After I finished I felt my wreath could have been fuller and I wanted to hide the wreath wire a little better so i created about 5 more bundles to add on.

Step 4: Add Your Easter Eggs and Tinsel Bunny
- The Easter eggs have a hole in the bottom of it, fold a pipe cleaner in half and insert about an inch into each egg, then use a glue gun to add glue to the hole of the egg where the pipe cleaner sticks out. After they dry attach to wreath the same way you did with your mesh bunches.
- Finally add your Tinsel Bunny and bend your mesh bunches in to give it a fuller look.
And that’s it! Here is the finished product:
